Parking made easier with PayDirect at Gurney Paragon Mall
First mall in Penang to be PayDirect enabled.
PENANG, 1 MARCH 2021 – Touch ‘n Go Group is excited to announce that motorists in Penang will experience greater convenience when parking at Gurney Paragon Mall effective today. The Mall is the first mall in Penang to enable PayDirect Parking.
Motorists will only need to add a Touch ‘n Go card to their Touch ‘n Go eWallet, and then tap their card at the parking entry and exit points. The Parking fee will be deducted directly from their Touch ‘n Go eWallet. It is that easy!
From 1 March 2021 to 30 April 2021, motorists will be able to enjoy a 20% cashback (capped at RM1.00) when they pay for parking using PayDirect. This promotion is limited to one (1) cashback per user throughout the promotional period and is limited to the first 10,000 redemptions.
“In light of the pandemic, we understand motorists are on the lookout for safe, convenient payment options, such as PayDirect. Through our partnership with Gurney Paragon Mall, we hope to address this need, by increasing availability and easy access to the technology, so that motorists can continue to go well, and go safe on their journeys,” said Chong Fhui, Chief Commercial Officer, Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd.
“We are also very happy that Gurney Paragon Mall is one of the pioneer sites that is supporting Touch ‘n Go’s initiative in removing parking surcharge to users. To date, there is no parking surcharge in Gurney Paragon Mall, and if motorists pay with the Touch ‘n Go card during the campaign period, there will be an additional 20% discount,” added Chong Fhui.
Meanwhile, Khor Tze Ming, Group Executive Director
of Hunza Properties Berhad expressed her satisfaction with this cashless
parking feature. “Following the introduction of our carpark’s cashless and
ticketless parking on 15 September 2020, we are pleased to work closely with
Touch ‘n Go to roll out this PayDirect parking convenience for our shoppers. – This
means our patrons will no longer need to hunt for Touch ‘n Go kiosk to reload
their card to pay for their parking fee. This will also lead to less congestion
at the entrance and exit especially during busy days or nearing mall closing
hours. With the Touch ‘n Go PayDirect method of payment, this unwanted and time-consuming
step is taken away.”
